Happy 10th Birthday STUFFit Student Film Festival.
STUFFit Film Festival is an internationally renowned film festival run by students, for students. STUFFit stands for STUdent Film Festival InTernational which originated from humble beginnings in St John's College Nambour. In 2011, we started as a small group of innovative students with a collective idea for something amazing. Thanks to the $25,000 grant from NAB in 2011, we have grown into a commendable festival.
What began as a national festival 10 years ago has grown to be an international festival with entries from multiple countries, including Iran, China, Taiwan, Greece, and the UK! With 16 students and 3 supervising teachers, we are proud of the exponential growth and popularity of the festival over the past decade.
Saturday 16th October was the culmination of a year's dedication and hard work for the management team. There were two screenings: the morning session, which showcased all shortlisted films followed by the screening of Winning and Runner up films in the afternoon. The final screening was projected in cinema and live streamed for those unable to come to Majestic Cinema's, Nambour. The highlight of the festival is always the Awards ceremony which, this year included special presenter, Rob Skelton M.P. State Member for Nicklin.
With the youngest ever management team, we are proud to announce that STUFFit, once again surpassed all expectations to successfully celebrate it's 10th Birthday.
We would like to give a special thank you to our sponsors for their financial support over the past 10 years and presenters who year after year, give prestige to this student run event. Lastly, a massive thank you and congratulations to the students and teachers who have worked so hard for so long to make this such an awesome festival. We hope to see you all next year for the 2022 STUFFit Student Film Festival!
