2016 OP Results

At St John's College we provide quality education in an environment that nurtures children in their Catholic faith.

St John's College is an outstanding inclusive co-educational Catholic High School administered by Brisbane Catholic Education.  St John's has a current enrolment of 780 students and is staffed by professional, experienced, passionate and dedicated teachers.  St John's has been established for thirty seven years on its present site and seventy seven years as a Catholic secondary school in Nambour, and has a fine tradition of scholastic, cultural, sporting and extra-curricular success.

Congratulations to Year 12, 2016 on their excellent OP results.

Congratulations to Year 12, 2016 on their excellent OP results. The Graduating class of 2016 worked extremely hard during the year and they have been justly rewarded.  The partnerships between home and school have again paid huge dividends and we continue to reinforce the strength and reputation of St John's College as an academically successful school.

As we are well aware, St. John's does not offer academic scholarships and we had 80% of students (96 students) studying an OP pathway, and these results are again indicative of value adding to a student’s achievements at St. John's. The staff of the college are to be congratulated on their passion, professionalism and expertise and their contribution to these results.

We are blessed to have 53% of OP students between 1-10 and 78% between 1-15. Although we have had years with what you might term “better” results, these results were outstanding for this group of young people. Indeed, St. John’s is still achieving better results compared to all BCE schools and many other local schools.

100% of students received their QCE, 46 students received VET Certificates made up of 24 Cert III’s and 21 Cert II’s and 20 Cert I’s.  And 1 University subject was completed.

There were no OP 1’s this year but we congratulate
